I just found a site that hosts several kinds of Lotus Notes based databases for a monthly fee including a picture database.

The database has a clean look and can be used without a Lotus Notes Client. I am not sure about the quality of the application as I have not tested it yet but I think the thumbnails are generated automatically on the server. The montly fee of about EUR 25 for 300MB seems to be quite high.

What do you think? Are people really paying that money for a hosted database?? If yes, I will start coding the webfrontend for the Open Notes Picture Database and host databases on my own on my server.

I like their concept having one database template and creating a wide variety of web applications out of it without writing a single line of code. We use it in our Intranet. This web application even works offline, replicating using Domino Offline Services.
